An allegory of the rest on the flight into Egypt, the Virgin seated and looking upward, supporting in her lap the Christ child, who holds a reed cross and tramples the head of the dragon of heresy and evil; the infant Baptist, to right, points to the cross; a fallen statue to left, a tomb to left with a relief depicting Hercules killing the Hydra; St Joseph and an angel with a donkey in the background.
